This is a response to the post titled: How would you talk to your younger self about sex?
This question got me thinking about gender roles I encountered growing up. I wish I could talk to myself about who I am as a person, what I like to do, what I want to do for work, and the things I enjoy in life are not reliant or determined by my gender. I might be comfortable using masculine and neutral pronouns, but those labels don't come with prescribed prerequisites and qualifications. Going off of that, sex as an activity tends to be role specific, and cis.
I wish I could talk to my younger self about how it's okay to not have to feel like a man whenever I have sex. What's important is that you and your partner have a good time, feel good, and have a good communication dynamic to make sure everyone involved is comfortable and having an enjoyable experience.
